A different kind of bootcamp...
Corpão (pronounced 'COR-POW') is a fitness program that combines cardio with strength training. We get you results without excessive running, sprinting and monotonous push-ups that you'll find in other bootcamps. Instead, expect to surprise your body with moves hailing from both Brazil and the U.S. Every class is unique with exercises varying from kickboxing and yoga to Brazilian bodyweight activities and capoeira.
Your Coach: Chardét Durbin
Chardét is nationally certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM.) As a Brazilian-American, she has practiced yoga, kickboxing and weightlifting in both Brazil and the United States over the past ten years.
Chardét designed Corpão Outdoor Bootcamp as a hybrid program that combines muscular endurance and weight loss activities with the toning and definition exercises commonly found in Brazilian gyms.
From May through November we work out in Central Park. We alternate locations to keep the workouts new and challenging. You'll get to know Central Park's benches, stairs, trees and hills intimately as we incorporate them into our routines and, of course, the views aren't so bad either. Location moves indoors in December and we add weights to training in true Brazilian style.
